Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA), 39-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Belle Plaine upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Plainsmen travel to English Valleys (North English, IA) to play the Bears in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Friday, December 2. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-2. English Valleys lost 55-52 in their recent league bout against Tri-County (Thornburg, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Friday, December 2. Iowa Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 55-52 league win over English Valleys (North English, IA).
