Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Los Fresnos Falcons (Los Fresnos, TX), 68-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Weslaco East upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Economedes (Edinburg, TX) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Economedes won 74-46 in their recent non-league bout against Lyford (Lyford, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Stafford Spartans (Stafford, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Los Fresnos will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 65-44 non-league win over Palmview (La Joya, TX).
