Slaughter Community Charter Knights (Slaughter, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Louisiana School for the Deaf War Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA), 50-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Slaughter Community Charter upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA) to play the in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Ascension Christian won 75-51 in their recent non-league bout against False River (New Roads, LA)

Next up, the War Eagles play the Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison (Sulphur, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Louisiana School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bison come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 62-45 non-league win over Milburn (Milburn, OK).
