Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY), 75-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pike County Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks travel to Lawrence County (Louisa, KY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Cordia Lions (Hazard, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Martin County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 93-22 non-league loss to Madison Southern (Berea, KY).
