Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Laguna Beach Breakers (Laguna Beach, CA), 78-72 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Esperanza upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Aztecs travel to Canyon (Anaheim, CA) to play the Comanches in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Comanches go into the bout with a record of 8-0.

Next up, the Breakers play the Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Laguna Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
