The Bertha-Hewitt Bears basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder to 37 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host New York Mills for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. Bertha-Hewitt will meet a Eagles team coming off a 65-46 league loss to Underwood (Underwood, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
The Thunder (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kimball (Kimball, MN). The Cubs enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Kimball ran past Litchfield (Litchfield, MN), 46-36, in a non-league contest.
