Milford Bulldogs (Milford, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX), 41-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Milford upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Covington (Covington, TX) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Covington won 47-39 in their recent non-league bout against Avalon (Avalon, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Moody Bearcats (Moody, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Abbott will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 48-32 non-league loss to Vanguard College Prep (Waco, TX).
