Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lee Generals (Huntsville, AL), 59-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Buckhorn upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Bucks host Bob Jones (Madison, AL) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Generals play the Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL) in a 6A Area 16 bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Lee will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 6-3 record after their 61-54 non-league loss to Jasper (Jasper, AL).
