Centerville Big Reds/Redettes (Centerville, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA), 63-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Centerville upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Big Reds/Redettes travel to Albia (Albia, IA) to play the Blue Demons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Blue Demons come into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets (Eddyville, IA) in a South Central bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Davis County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Rockets come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 42-38 league win over Albia (Albia, IA).
