The Chatham Central Bears routed the visiting Western Harnett Eagles basketball team by a final score of 72-40 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Bears face the Southeast Alamance Stallions (Haw River, NC) in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina game, on Tuesday, December 5. Chatham Central will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Stallions enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 77-72 non-league loss to Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC).
With the defeat, Western Harnett moves to 0-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Harnett Central (Angier, NC) to confront the Trojans in a 3A/4A All-American challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Harnett Central won 53-50 in their recent non-league challenge against West Johnston (Benson, NC)
