Curry Yellowjackets (Jasper, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oak Grove Tigers (Bessemer, AL), 43-33 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Curry upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Hamilton (Hamilton, AL) to play the Aggies in a 4A Area 12 bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Aggies go into the bout with a record of 3-1.
Next up, the Tigers play the Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Oak Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 82-45 non-league loss to John Carroll Catholic (Birmingham, AL).
