The East Central Cardinals basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Grove Ridgerunners to 40 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Inola for a non-league contest on Monday, December 4. East Central will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 66-60 non-league loss to Roland (Roland, OK). The Longhorns record now stands at 0-1.

The Ridgerunners (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Stilwell (Stilwell, OK). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Stilwell nudged Checotah (Checotah, OK), 54-34, in a league contest.
