In Friday's non-league outing, the Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Leander Lions (Leander, TX), by a count of 50-41.
The Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against McNeil (Austin, TX). The Mavericks go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, McNeil defeated Canyon (New Braunfels, TX), 68-64, in a non-league outing.
The Lions now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Midway for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 2. Leander will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 42-35 non-league loss to Lake Travis (Austin, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 6-6.
