Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), 61-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Prairie City-Monroe upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Saydel (Des Moines, IA) to play the Eagles in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout on Saturday, December 2. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Saydel lost 63-54 in their recent league bout against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA)

Next up, the Rams play the South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 63-54 league win over Saydel (Des Moines, IA).
