Universal Stars (Bridgeview, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Islamic Foundation Chargers (Villa Park, IL), 62-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Universal upgrades its record to 1-5 on the season. The Stars travel to College Prep of America (Lombard, IL) to play the Thunder in a Metro Prep bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 0-7. College Prep of America lost 97-68 in their recent non-league bout against Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL)

Next up, the Chargers play the Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Islamic Foundation will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Sentinels go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 48-42 non-league win over Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL).
