Georgia High School Basketball - Memorial Day knocked off by Islands

December 1, 2023: Savannah, GA 31410

The Islands Sharks basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Memorial Day Matadors to 52 in the Sharks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Sharks now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Habersham School for a non-league contest on Monday, December 4. Islands will battle a Patriots team coming off a 68-26 league win over Trinity Christian (Statesboro, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-1.

The Matadors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bridges Prep (Beaufort, SC). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Bridges Prep ran past Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC), 80-39, in a non-league contest.
