Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host King William Cavaliers (King William, VA), 68-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mechanicsville upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Spotsylvania lost 61-18 in their recent non-league bout against Louisa County (Mineral, VA)

Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) in a Tidewater bout, on Thursday, December 7. King William will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
