Munising Mustangs (Munising, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Munising upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Gwinn (Gwinn, MI) to play the Modeltowners in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Modeltowners go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Gwinn won 66-36 in their recent non-league bout against West Iron County (Iron River, MI)

Next up, the Emeralds play the Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Manistique will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
