The Whitehorse Raiders (Montezuma Creek, UT) basketball nipped the visiting Monument Valley Cougars (Monument Valley, UT), 45-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Raiders (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Chieftains go into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Shiprock got by Dulce (Dulce, NM), 80-63, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Piute for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Monument Valley will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 61-55 non-league win over Tintic (Eureka, UT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-1.
