Virginia High School Basketball - Patrick County knocked off by Staunton River

The Staunton River Golden Eagles basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Patrick County Cougars to 42 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Staunton River will battle a Minutemen team coming off a 93-60 non-league loss to Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Minutemen record now stands at 0-1.
The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Chatham was defeated by Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 78-68, in a non-league contest.
