North Carolina High School Basketball - Rocky Mount ripped by Westover

December 1, 2023: Fayetteville, NC 28303

The Westover Wolverines basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Rocky Mount Gryphons to 25 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wolverines now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Forest for a 3A/4A All-American contest on Tuesday, December 5. Westover will battle a Trojans team coming off a 47-41 non-league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-2.

The Gryphons (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Hertford County was routed by Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA), 74-72, in a non-league contest.
