Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL), 58-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Steeleville upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Warriors host Lebanon (Lebanon, IL) to clash with the Greyhounds in a Cahokia - Kaskaskia bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Lebanon won 61-33 in their recent league bout against Dupo (Dupo, IL)

Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) in a Black Diamond - West bout, on Friday, December 8. Trico will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 91-55 non-league loss to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL).
