San Mateo Bearcats (San Mateo, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South San Francisco Warriors (South San Francisco, CA), 37-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, San Mateo upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Capuchino (San Bruno, CA) to play the Mustangs in a bout on Thursday, December 14. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Warriors play the Jefferson Grizzlies (Daly City, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. South San Francisco will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
