Iowa High School Basketball - Ankeny overwhelmed by Johnston

The Johnston Dragons basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Ankeny Hawks to 49 in the Dragons league victory on Friday.
The Dragons now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dowling Catholic for a Central Iowa Metro - Central contest on Tuesday, December 5. Johnston will battle a Maroons team coming off a 60-34 non-league win over Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA). The Maroons record now stands at 2-1.
The Hawks (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams come into the Central Iowa Metro - Central contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Southeast Polk was routed by Waukee (Waukee, IA), 55-41, in a league contest.
