Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Brunswick Bulldogs (Lawrenceville, VA) and the visiting Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA), saw Brunswick's basketball squad knock off Mecklenburg County by a tally of 46-36.

With the victory, Brunswick improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Windsor (Windsor, VA) to play the Dukes in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Monday, December 4. The Dukes come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Windsor won 71-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Nandua (Onley, VA)

Next up, the Phoenix play the George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Friday, December 8. Mecklenburg County will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
