In Friday's league outing, the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) basketball squad nipped the host Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA), by a margin of 49-48.

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against A-D-M (Adel, IA). The Tigers go into the Raccoon River outing with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, A-D-M was edged by Ballard (Huxley, IA), 56-51, in a league bout.

Next up, the Tigers play the North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) in a Raccoon River bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Carroll will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 49-34 league win over Carlisle (Carlisle, IA).
