Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL), 58-23 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fremd upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 4-1. Marian Catholic lost 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Cougars play the Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Conant will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Grenadiers come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 61-33 league loss to Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL).
