The Concord Pirates (Concord, AR) basketball felled the visiting Shirley Blue Devils (Shirley, AR), 53-39 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (13-1) will now prepare for their test against Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, Bald Knob overcame Pangburn (Pangburn, AR), 64-34, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Shirley moves to 3-4 on the year. The Blue devils travel to Norfork (Norfork, AR) to meet the Panthers in a 1A Region 2 match on Tuesday, December 5. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 10-1.
