The Deer River Warriors basketball team scored 99 points and restricted the visiting Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings to 32 in the Warriors league victory on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Deer River will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 67-44 non-league win over Esko (Esko, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-0.
The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Nashwauk-Keewatin (Nashwauk, MN). The Spartans come into the A Section 7 contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Nashwauk-Keewatin was crushed by Ely (Ely, MN), 78-30, in a non-league bout.
