Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Galt Warriors (Galt, CA), 37-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Elk Grove upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Thundering Herd travel to Stagg (Stockton, CA) to play the Delta Kings in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Delta Kings come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Stagg won 46-29 in their recent non-league bout against Natomas (Sacramento, CA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Amador Buffaloes (Sutter Creek, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Galt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 39-18 non-league loss to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA).
