The Glenvar Highlanders basketball team (Salem, VA), was overwhelmed 53-13 in Friday's non-league battle with the host William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA)
The Terriers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cave Spring for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 5. William Byrd will confront a Knights team coming off a 74-30 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Knights record now stands at 0-3.
The Highlanders (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Auburn (Riner, VA). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Auburn was overwhelmed by Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 60-44, in a league battle.
