The Mt. Zion Eagles basketball team (Mt. Zion, GA), was overwhelmed 51-18 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA)

The Rebels now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Murray for a AA Region 7 battle on Friday, December 8. Haralson County will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 48-29 non-league win over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 6-2.

The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Greenforest (Decatur, GA). The Eagles come into the A D2 Region 7 battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Greenforest was overwhelmed by St. Francis (Alpharetta, GA), 57-49, in a non-league battle.
