North Carolina High School Basketball - Polk County succumbs to Hiwassee Dam

The Hiwassee Dam Eagles topped the visiting Polk County Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 42-34 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a 1A Smoky Mountain game, on Tuesday, December 5. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 48-32 non-league loss to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC).
