John Adams Academy Patriots (El Dorado Hills, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA), 42-39 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, John Adams Academy upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy won 50-38 in their recent non-league bout against Cristo Rey (Sacramento, CA)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Cristo Rey Saints (Sacramento, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Mesa Verde will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 50-38 non-league loss to Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA).
