Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ladysmith Lumberjacks (Ladysmith, WI), 50-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwestern upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI) to play the Saints in a Heart O'North bout on Thursday, December 7. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Lumberjacks play the Turtle Lake Lakers (Turtle Lake, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Ladysmith will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 62-46 non-league win over Prairie Farm (Prairie Farm, WI).
