Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS), 38-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Leake Central upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Gators host Morton (Morton, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Morton won 49-27 in their recent non-league bout against Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS)

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Philadelphia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
