The Mena Bearcats basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Pottsville Apaches to 40 in the Bearcats league victory on Friday.
The Bearcats now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fountain Lake for a 4A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, December 5. Mena will battle a Cobras team coming off a 44-39 non-league loss to Hot Springs (Hot Springs, AR). The Cobras record now stands at 2-5.
The Apaches (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Morrilton (Morrilton, AR). The Devil Dogs come into the 4A Region 4 contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Morrilton prevailed over Ozark (Ozark, AR), 48-25, in a league contest.
