In Friday's league outing, the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) basketball squad beat the host Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), by a count of 42-33.

The Grizzlies (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Colts go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Philip Barbour defeated Ripley (Ripley, WV), 56-45, in a non-league outing.
