Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Temple Tigers (Temple, GA), 48-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Model upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Blue Devils host Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA) to clash with the Rebels in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Fannin County won 58-49 in their recent non-league bout against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Rome Wolves (Rome, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Temple will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 49-42 non-league win over Cass (White, GA).
