The East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored 33 points and restricted the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks to 19 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Wilkes for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. East Wilkes will battle a Vikings team coming off a 59-23 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
The Blackhawks (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Starmount prevailed over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 18-15, in a non-league contest.
