The King William Cavaliers basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Mechanicsville Mustangs to 12 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Essex for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. King William will meet a Trojans team coming off a 30-6 non-league loss to Caroline (Milford, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-1.

The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Spotsylvania was routed by Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 50-19, in a non-league contest.
