The Dinwiddie Generals basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Matoaca Warriors to 35 in the Generals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Generals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hopewell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Dinwiddie will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 45-19 non-league loss to Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-2.
The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Midlothian (Midlothian, VA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Midlothian ran past L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA), 56-49, in a non-league contest.
