Latin Romans (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL), 46-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Latin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Romans host Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Payton College Prep won 44-30 in their recent non-league bout against Jones (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Caxys play the Elgin Academy Hilltoppers (Elgin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Lake Forest Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
