West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), 59-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Stanly upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Colts host Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Charlotte Latin won 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against Weddington (Matthews, NC)

Next up, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls play the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. South Stanly will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
