Illinois High School Basketball - Reed-Custer toppled by Wilmington

December 1, 2025: Braidwood, IL 60408

Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 36-28 in a league match.

With the victory, Wilmington advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Coal City (Coal City, IL) to face the Coalers in a Illinois Central 8 contest on Thursday, December 4. The Coalers go into the contest with a record of 2-4. Coal City lost 56-23 in their recent non-league contest against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL)

In their next game, the Comets confront the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 contest, on Thursday, December 4. Reed-Custer will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 50-26 non-league win over Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL).
