In Friday's non-league outing, the Fort Bend Clements Rangers (Sugar Land, TX) basketball squad edged the host Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX), by a count of 57-52.
The Rangers (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Washington (Houston, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, Washington nipped Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX), 74-65, in a non-league challenge.
Next up, the Mavericks play the Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 challenge, on Tuesday, December 14. Manvel will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 46-40 non-league loss to Wharton (Tampa, FL).
