    • South Carolina High School Basketball - Gaffney can't hold off Union County

    The Union County Yellowjackets basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Gaffney Indians to 41 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.

    The Yellowjackets now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greer for a non-league contest on Monday, December 13. Union County will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 51-44 non-league loss to Blue Ridge (Greer, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-3.

    The Indians (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Spartanburg Christian Academy (Spartanburg, SC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Spartanburg Christian Academy nudged Blacksburg (Blacksburg, SC), 75-34, in a non-league contest.
