Milford Hawks (Milford, MA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA), 60-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Milford upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Foxborough (Foxborough, MA) to play the Warriors in a Hockomock bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Red Hawks play the Cape Cod Academy Seahawks (Osterville, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Barnstable will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Seahawks come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 57-49 non-league win over Cathedral (Boston, MA).
