Buena Vista Longhorns (Imperial, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Highland Hornets (Roscoe, TX), 36-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Buena Vista upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Longhorns host Sierra Blanca (Sierra Blanca, TX) to clash with the Vaqueros in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Vaqueros go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Sierra Blanca lost 39-32 in their recent non-league bout against Van Horn (Van Horn, TX)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Hamilton Bulldogs (Hamilton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
