Colcord Hornets (Colcord, OK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Westville Yellowjackets (Westville, OK), 66-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Colcord upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Kansas (Kansas, OK) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Kansas won 58-53 in their recent league bout against Sequoyah (Claremore, OK)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Keys Cougars (Park Hill, OK) in a Big Eight bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Westville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 52-12 non-league win over Wagoner (Wagoner, OK).
